This introductory course will explore the use of generative AI tools, specifically ChatGPT and Perplexity, to enhance the daily documentation, administrative tasks, and evidence-based practice of occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs). Participants will learn how to efficiently access and incorporate relevant evidence-based information into their clinical documentation, as well as leverage these AI-powered tools to streamline administrative responsibilities such as creating job descriptions, writing performance reviews, and brainstorming project ideas. Through hands-on demonstrations and case studies, attendees will gain practical skills to optimize their workflow and deliver high-quality, data-driven occupational therapy services.

Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Identify appropriate generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity to quickly look up and integrate evidence-based practice (EBP) information into daily documentation. 
• Demonstrate the use of ChatGPT and Perplexity to streamline administrative tasks like creating job descriptions, writing performance reviews, and generating project ideas. 
• Develop strategies to effectively incorporate EBP and AI-generated content from ChatGPT and Perplexity into occupational therapy practice ethically and responsibly.
• Evaluate the benefits and limitations of using generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity to support OTP workflows and decision-making.
