Many occupational therapy practitioners see the gaps in the current health care environment and are motivated to create real change. This session, the first in our entrepreneurship series, will explore how three occupational therapists identified the gaps in current service models and developed businesses to fill those gaps. Topics will include resources used to build a business, common pitfalls when building a business, and tips and tricks for success. 

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify resources to support starting an occupational therapy business.
  2. Recognize common challenges in entrepreneurship and opportunities for best practice.
  3. Explore benefits of mobile occupational therapy practice for clients across the lifespan
