Course Description: This course empowers occupational therapy practitioners to take a leading role in addressing challenging behaviors by reframing behavior through a developmental and occupational lens. Participants will explore occupational therapy’s unique contributions to behavior teams, learn to advocate for their role, and apply the STEPS for Development clinical reasoning tool to create strengths-based, functional strategies that support regulation, participation, and collaboration across settings.
