Course Description: There is a knowledge and experience gap between hand therapists and new Occupational Therapy Practitioners (OTPs). This session provides a clinical instructor and professor-led approach to increase entry-level knowledge in upper extremity rehabilitation. This session aims to bridge the gap between transitioning from classroom learning to practical work in hand therapy settings (Short et al., 2018). In this session, attendees will be provided with evidence-based strategies that have aided in filling this knowledge and experience gap.
