Course Description: A lack of common language in acute care between OT and other members of the interdisciplinary team may lead to delays in patient care and discharge. A team of OT/PT/SLPs collaborated to create a shared language amongst disciplines to improve understanding between therapists and improve patient discharge planning. This presentation will focus on the purpose, logistics, and implications of implementing an evidence-based assessment to foster shared language within rehab services in acute care.
