Occupational therapists need to expand our role to empower parents to become more participatory, informed members of the educational team, especially when pandemic distance learning collides with educational transitions. A pilot study on virtual parent education on assistive technology (AT) literacy and AT advocacy for students with learning disabilities showed statistically significant improvements across knowledge gained, perceived confidence, and course satisfaction.
