Course Description: Students applied the Asset Based Community Development model to find resources to support occupational engagement in people who are unhoused or housing insecure in Chicago, IL. The process revealed resources including shelters, food assistance, access to bathrooms and shower facilities, and advice from people with lived experience. Community members now have access to the resources using a QR code. Discover how this initiative aims to provide an asset-based approach for unhoused individuals.
