Course Description: The session will advance the field of teaching occupational therapy practitioners and students about the treatment and prevention of obesity. The presentation will focus on how occupational therapy practitioners can address the obesity epidemic within the scope of OT practice by using OT skills and theories. Specifically, exploring how occupational therapy practitioners can address the disease through the lens of occupational deprivation, occupational participation, habits, routines, and modifications.
