Course Description: This presentation will introduce concepts of critical disability studies and explore critical theoretical framing of childhood and disability. The conversation will focus on the influence the dominantdiscourse of disability and chidhood Through this discussion, attendees will reflect on and apply said concepts to their clinical practice to identify the need for and strategies for providing a more inclusive and strength-based approach to childhood and disability in the clinical setting.
