Course Description: On Jan 1, 22 history was made when the 2022 Home Health Prospective Payment System rule went into effect which permanently allows and OT to perform the initial and comprehensive assessments required to open home health therapy cases.  This course provides a historical perspective to understand the impact of this change, describes the benefits of OT opening cases, outlines best practice strategies for agency wide implementation, and highlights the benefits of ongoing advocacy in home health care.
