Course Description: This presentation will outline the development and implementation of The Play Workshop, an online two-part workshop for parents of children with disabilities. This pilot study focused on understanding parent beliefs on play, its impact on the parent-child relationship, challenges experienced, and strategies to build playful experiences. Discussion will center on how OT practitioners working with children and their families can strengthen and promote play as a meaningful and important occupation of childhood.
