Course Description: This presentation will provide an overview of two community-based mental health settings in Chicago, where OT is accessed by people who use/have used substances. Presenters will compare approaches and interventions used in an abstinence-based setting and a setting guided by harm reduction principles, and explore the intersection of the models in practice. Presenters will facilitate an open forum, engaging participants in discussing examples of both principles across practice settings.
