Course Description: Secondary Traumatic Stress [STS] has the potential to impact health care professionals at an unparalleled rate due to the nature of their work. This presentation's focus will be centered around how STS impacts occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) and will examine specific supports and barriers to carrying out their worker role. Identification of self-care strategies to mitigate the impact of STS and related burnout will also be discussed.
