The keynote speaker for our 2023 ILOTA Annual Conference is Dr. Maud Makoni, OTR/L, CHT, Assistant Professor and COTAD Advisor at North Central College. Here is a preview from Maud on what she will address:

Purpose & Passion: “The Seasons of Caregiving”

"As occupational therapy practitioners, we are confident in our ability to inspire and motivate our clients every day. We understand the crucial role we play in the future of our profession and remain steadfastly dedicated to it. Our passion for helping others comes from a deep-seated conviction that requires constant nurturing, so we can truly make a difference in someone's life. Only then can we realize our full potential as occupational therapy practitioners and empower our clients to live life to the fullest. We recognize that caregiving is a journey with different seasons, each requiring a unique approach and level of care. But by staying true to our purpose and passion, we can provide the unwavering support and guidance needed to help our clients navigate these seasons with humility and confidence."
