Course Description: Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) supports relevant, sustainable community change by recognizing the capabilities of communities to address their own needs. Recognizing community assets is central to ABCD. This presentation will describe how OT students applied ABCD to their Level I fieldwork site. OT students supported residents of a post-incarceration transitional housing program to identify and celebrate their community assets and support the development of self-advocacy skills.
