Course Description: Safe patient handling and mobility programs (SPHM) decrease staff injury, reduce hospital acquired conditions, and increase early mobilization.  A sustainable SPHM program is multi-faceted, but needs to include unit based experts to answer the questions of staff in real time.  Therapy practitioner SPHM experts implemented the 2nd set of hands program to educate unit-based hospital staff how to effectively use SPHM equipment.
