This presentation summarizes findings from a study performed to address the following research questions concerning adults with physical disabilities transitioning from institutional living to independent living in the community: 1)How does occupational therapy add value to the community reintegration process?2)What meaning do persons with disability living in an institutional setting associate with the Pre-Assessment for acceptance into the Colbert Consent Decree Program?
