The purpose of our study is to understand how older adults perceive the use of assistive technology (AT) for social participation and whether stigma and/or ageism impacts the potential use of AT equipment for social participation. Our research question is as follows: How do older adults perceive the use of AT equipment for social participation? How does stigma and/or ageism impact the potential use of AT equipment for social participation?
