Occupational therapists are well suited to provide interventions to address challenges faced by survivors of head and neck cancer. However, there is limited research on occupation-based rehabilitative interventions. Based on consultation with an OT who treats HNC survivors, this student literature review poses the question: What are effective rehabilitation interventions to improve fatigue, decreased strength or range of motion resulting from surgery, radiation or chemotherapy in HNC patients?
