Independent living facilities have an obligation to meet changing needs of the older adult population in order to age in place to participate in meaningful occupations and access the environment. This presentation will discuss participatory action research utilizing Photovoice and the voices of community living older adults in a government funded independent living facility on their perceptions of supports and barriers within their environment that impact engagement in desired occupations.
